Our purpose for missions is to live out Micah 6:8:
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
As a family, we strive to live out this message in the messy and mundane. Teaching our children, serving in church, encouraging the hurting believers, and witnessing to the lost all fit within these commandments:
- To do justly.
- To love mercy.
- To walk humbly with God.
Whether that is here in our beautiful state of West Virginia or in foothills of the Honduran mountains, we pray God will use our lives to point others to Him.
We believe God has ordained the local church to equip the saints and evangelize the lost. Our purpose in missions is to work within the local church. We are a gospel-centered family who believes in the power of God’s Word to reach the nations for salvation. Walking alongside a local church who is both disciplining and evangelizing will be our primary goal.
Jason’s experience as a doctor equips him perfectly to provide healing and hope to those in need, all the while plugging them into the local church. He believes the just and merciful healing is not just for the physical body, but for the spiritual soul. Jason strives to witness and point people to Christ in his day-to-day interactions with patients. Jason’s purpose in missions is to use medicine to reach people for Christ.
Sarah’s heart for women and especially moms comes from almost ten years of experience. Before becoming a mom, Sarah taught in the public school for two years. Since then, she has enjoyed staying at home and homeschooling their five children. Sarah also loves to lead and host a small Bible study. Sarah also has a passion to encourage women to dig deep and find focus when it comes to Bible study on her blog. Sarah’s purpose in missions is to serve as encourager to her husband, children, and those around her.
Our vision is to help equip and grow the local church by making new contacts and ministering to the physical health needs of the El Progreso community in Honduras. Our family is passionate about spreading the gospel to unreached people groups through the avenue of healthcare.
